MVP Award 2025

I am incredibly grateful, excited, honored, and humbled to announce I’ve just become a Microsoft MVP for Business Central!

I first got started as an end-user with Dynamics GP, and then after about five years, had the opportunity to become an implementation consultant with a Microsoft partner. Now, after 20 years of supporting end users, writing a book, creating impactful Power BI reports, participating in dozens of user-group webinars, presenting and training at national conferences for a decade, volunteering in the user-group community, publishing my new website with blog posts and reference information about GP, BC and Power BI, and working especially hard the last seven years with Business Central, I look back and think what an amazing journey I am on!

In my experience, MVPs in the Microsoft Dynamics world contribute so much to our ecosystem. I have counted on their experience, knowledge-sharing, bug-fixing, enthusiasm, contributions and insights that are truly worthy of recognition. I can’t even contemplate how many times MVPs have saved my butt.

To be an MVP myself now is going to be an adjustment, but it is really exciting to have this opportunity to do more of, get better at, and dig even deeper into Business Central with all of my fellow like-minded Dynamics colleagues. I never really thought becoming an MVP would happen to me. So many great folks have come before me and I want to thank you all for everything you do. I am truly grateful for this recognition, and for all of the wonderful people in the community that have supported me, and wielded influence over the 25+ years I have been working solely with Microsoft ERP! While it is rapidly changing and evolving, it is also an exciting time to be in this space.

First of all, I want to thank GraVoc, who has wholeheartedly supported me for over a decade now in pursuing my true passion – Dynamics ERP. We've built an amazing team of dedicated people who I love working with every single day.

Second, my amazing wife and family have endured countless late-night and weekend sessions where I lock myself away in the "Grateful Shed" pursuing MS Dynamics – learning, blogging, fine-tuning, and creating innovative ways to help users get the most out of this amazing system.

Thirdly, well....wow. I have had so many people impact my professional life, and I am just incredibly grateful to all of you. This list is very long. I have worked hard to tell you each of you 1:1 over the years how much you mean to me, and will continue to do so, because I appreciate what you do for me. I cannot wait to give many of you big hugs at the upcoming Dynamics events this spring!

While the substantial part of my history has been with Dynamics GP, I am working every day now, like so many others, with Dynamics Business Central. Since its inception, I have diligently tried to absorb everything I can, and provide insights and influence where it has the most impact for my team, our greater organization, the community, and each and every one of our end users.

Looking in the future, I aim to continue providing transparent and informative insights about the journey from Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central, and all that comes with it. I hope my experience and insights are helpful in your own journey!

I never thought I would be here now, but it just goes to show, when you follow your passion, and as my mom told me once in a very difficult time of my life, "do the right things for the right reasons and good things will happen."

I look forward to meeting you in the near future to talk about Dynamics!

I’m grateful should this experience or these insights be helpful to you on your journey…until next post!
