DynamicsCon 2025 - My BC and GP Session Selections

DynamicsCon 2025 this year will be in Chicago, Ill., and I am excited to announce I was selected to present 3 sessions! This event has grown significantly over the past few years, and I encourage any Dynamics or Power Platform Users, Admins, CFOs, Controllers, and decision makers to strongly consider going. Whatever brings you to the Windy City for this event, be sure to know it will be packed with great educational content and provide an amazing networking experience that gets you informed and ready for tackling your ERP and reporting challenges at work. Consider bringing more than one person from your team to maximize how much information you can take back and superpower your people with!

If you have a sticky wicket for a boss, or need to make a convincing plea, try using and personalizing this letter and just see how well it works! https://dynamicscon.com/event-information/convince-your-boss-letter/

From a Dynamics conference standpoint, this has traditionally been an incredibly well-run event, packed with value, for just a short amount of time. It all costs less than you think, and all of the experts, Microsoft, and a large part of the ISV community will be there.

Once again this year I am splitting my allegiance to Dynamics GP and Business Central and presenting one session in each track!

Breaking into the Benefits of Telemetry for BC

First off, I am DELIGTHED to have another opportunity to present on Business Central Telemetry reporting! There are so many things you can do with it. This introductory session will cover how and where to get started with BC Telemetry reporting with Power BI. We'll view reports and discuss key approaches to uncovering helpful information living inside BC that will help administrators, implementation specialists, and developers understand more of what is happening inside the system.

We’ll focus our time on 20 of my favorite and most useful ones using real-life usage reporting examples/scenarios, have ample discussion about practicality, and what it all means for optimization, troubleshooting, and improving your Business Central environment!

Modernizing the Dynamics Experience: The Ultimate GP to BC Comparison to Fast Track your Team

The momentum behind migrating from GP to BC has grown significantly over the past few years, so I have planned an entirely BRAND NEW SESSION for this year where we hold the initial conversations ‘classroom style’ about the key differences you should expect when going thru key parts of the initial process and provide clarity for any GP user, admin, novice, consultant, expert, developer, integrator, partner, etc.

  • Advance your knowledge quickly about the similarities and differences when migrating or discussing the move from GP to BC

  • Understand how to position and methods of performing data clean up and migration from GP to BC

  • See exactly how the Reporting and Analytics Pyramid works best in BC, and review all the ways BC is far superior to GP when it comes to reporting for everybody in your organization.

From Ground to Cloud: Preparing Dynamics GP for a Cloud-Based ERP

I am super excited to be joining forces with a longtime GP friend and Microsoft MVP, Cecile Dinh, for a session on preparing Dynamics GP for a cloud-based ERP system.

Before you can transition to a cloud-based ERP, ensuring your Dynamics GP system is ready is crucial. In this session, we'll dive into the preparation work required within Dynamics GP itself.

I’m grateful should this experience or these insights be helpful to you on your journey…until next post!
